THE FALL

Two young girls stood near a huge precipice. the view was splendid with pink skies and clouds that looked like cotton candy. The pink mushy cushions layered the fall keeping what lays beneath a mystery. But they had little time to enjoy the view because there was a decision to be made .

"what should we do?" the one with teary eyes asked.

"whatever we do, we do that together ! ok ? " the other one said. Her eyes were also wet but it was glistening with anger and defeat.

"Grey! do we have to jump? I mean look around, its beautiful! and they will come too! they will take us home!" Hope replied with her watery eyes half believing in her fantasy.

"Hope! I am looking around! There is nothing but this rock! if we stay, we are stuck here forever! we should jump! The uncertainty is  better than your faithless dream!"

"Please" her once wonderful eyes was brimming with helplessness," please! lets give them a last chance! they will respond! they will! please!"

" how long?! Hope we have a life!! we have to live it! if we choose to stay , if we choose stay in their life! we will loose ours! are you seriously going to weigh us out?!"

Hope replied in silence. She was ashamed to disappoint her friend.She tried to hide her eyes in fear of confrontation,but it was too late, her other half understood!

"No!"Grey was loosing her selves."no..no..no! Hope! You can't! we should love ourselves! we should be our priority ! we should love ourselves first!" Grey was crying now. her tears were a crowd of emotions. even her other half was afraid to approach her!

Grey composed herself and wiped her tears in confirmation. " I can't loose you! even if it means death! you are my other half  you know! You were never like the others.you believed in me! I won't loose you! I won't! I am staying!"

A glimmer of relief flowed inside Hope, but it was drowned inside by guilt! She often forget that they were just  parts of a tortured soul! She was ready to stay there without any sign of relief ! She was ready for the suicide! But her friend she had to live! she had a lot more in their life!

Hope ran towards Grey.She hugged her and kissed her in the cheek.

"How You have grown? You have become a woman! "

"Yeah! I know!" Grey joked hugging her sister.

"And you have the power to live without me!Follow our dreams! for me please! "

Grey's heart skipped numerous beats. Her pupils dilated as she screamed!

"NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

"Its alright! Others will be down there !Maybe someone new will join you guys!" she fake smiled.

Hope separated her  other half from her body and she pushed her down the rock to the cotton candy clouds and the mystery beneath!"

" No! You can't! you can't!you can"t!!!!"

She stammered as her voice broke with sadness.

No! please! I can't! please!...

Grey went beneath the clouds with the last  glimpse of her better half!

"Its alright! you will do great! I be-"

Her friend's voice stopped as the pink clouds refilled her body sized void in the sky!
